Datacom partners with MBIE to help emergency services locate emergency 111 smartphone calls more quickly and accurately

Datacom has delivered the first stage of Datascape, a brand new smart council and community cloud solution to Shire of Manjimup in Western Australia. The Shire’s initial priority is to use Datascape to help it engage more closely with its community.

Students and teachers at Mount Waverley Heights Primary School in Victoria will soon have 100 new HP Chromebooks, Touchscreen devices, Chromebox, Mini Desktop PC’s and will use Google Classroom as a management system. This is thanks to the new Beacon School industry collaboration between HP Australia, Google for Education, BenQ and Datacom. 

Datacom’s annual hackathon – Datacomp – saw participants humanise technology through the theme of “EmotionalX”. As part of the weekend event held on 24-26 August, hundreds of participants from across Australasia converged on Datacom’s Auckland office to design technology that forges genuine human connections between people and business.

Datacom has today officially opened a new customer care and IT Hub in South Australia, providing world-class customer services, along with training for the local community, as part of the company’s growing investment in Australia.

Datacom Group has delivered another year of revenue growth, increasing revenue by 9.3% to NZ$1.27b for the Financial Year ended 31 March 2018. The Group profit after tax for the year was NZ$23.5m.

Datacom is delighted to announce Aditi Sherekar as the 2018 Imagine Cup Scholarship winner. This scholarship offers Ms Sherekar a paid internship in Datacom’s Software group, based in our Gaunt St office.

This will provide government and enterprise customers with secure, direct access to multiple public cloud service providers, and other hosting and co-location services.
